The Applicaiton
Below is the full application with mod notations for your convenience and easy reference.
Out of Character Player name: Name or nickname Age (are you over 18?): Contact Details: (AIM, e-mail, etc. You must list at least one mode of contact here.) PB: Play-by name Cast Page Icon: Link to your preferred icon for the cast page here. Please keep in mind that this should be a somewhat professional image of your play-by. Journal:username (Optional if you're applying with your character journal, as you should) Application:Link to the filled out application in your character journal.
In Character FULL NAME: Your character's name NICKAME/ALIAS: Is your character known by other names? List here. CURRENT AGE: Age DATE OF BIRTH: Birthday PLACE OF BIRTH: COUNTRY (Region/State/County, etc.)
MARITAL STATUS: Single, married, polygamist, etc. SEXUALITY: Sexual orientation (Kinsey score) For example, somebody might list: Heterosexual (Kinsey 1) [See Kinsey scale HERE] OCCUPATION: Your position with The Company
PARENTS: Name and Name Surname SIBLINGS: Name, Name, etc.
Physical Appearance HEIGHT, WEIGHT: (Example) 5'10", 160lb Include a short paragraph or two describing their coloring, style of grooming, style of dress, etc. Please keep descriptions relevant and concise (i.e. not overly poetic). This is meant to resemble a personnel dossier, not their stalker's fantasies. DISTINGUISHING MARKS: Any markings, tattoos, scars, etc.
Personality & Demeanor At least 2-3 good paragraphs describing their basic personality traits and how they impact their everyday life on both a personal and professional level. Be sure to include likes, dislikes, fears, desires, etc.
History: At least 2-3 good paragraphs highlighting the most important events that shaped them into the people they are today. Which event(s) set them on the path that brought them to their chosen profession?
The Company is a highly secretive organization, so make sure their history touches upon the reasons why they were chosen to be a part of it. Are they a Legacy (parents/ancestors worked for The Company)? Do they know someone on the inside that brought them in/recommended them? We encourage you to contact our current players and establish relationships and backstory to explain their presence here. Make sure you describe this in your history.
Qualifications & Specialty: List their qualifications. Nobody gets hired by The Company for their pretty face and sunny personality. Your character should have degrees conferred relevant to their occupation/position with The Company. Do they have a PhD in Archaeology specializing in Akkadian/Sumerian cultures? Have they received any formal combat or martial arts training? Have they qualified for law enforcement or the armed forces? Note: Only list degrees conferred here, you will be asked to list their actual skills below.
SPECIALTY: Out of all their studies, this should be what they are best at. If they were top of their class in decoding degraded cuneiform or breaking ancient demonic seals, this is where you tell us.
Additional Skills & Info: This is where you list what they can do that they didn't necessarily go to school for. If they have weapons training, be realistic and list one or two specific types. No one is an expert in twelve different martial arts by the time they're twenty-five either, be realistic and list one they're good at, and maybe a second one they know superficially. (Security personnel/ex-military types would be the exception to this rule, since it is their job to train in several modes of combat.)
List other skills. Are they great with horses? Dancing? A budding chef? Wine conoisseur? Can draw the Greater Key of Solomon from memory while blindfolded and hanging upside down? Are they allergic to peanuts? What makes them unique?
Plot/Wanted lines: Give us at least 2-3 solid plot points you are starting with or are requesting upon joining the game. Is your character assistant to one of our senior members? What do they hope to gain from joining The Company? Do they have a hidden agenda? (All major plot points should be discussed with the mods prior to approval, of course.)

Writing sample: This game is mainly devoted to threads, third-person storybook style. Replies are expected to be no less than one beefy paragraph in length, 2-3 are preferred. We're not necessarily looking for a novel here, we just want to see the kind of tags we can expect from you.
Keep in mind that the truism quality > quantity holds true here. Yes, we like to see hefty tags. However, a wall of text is useless if you don't actually give the other player physical, concrete actions, expressions or movements to react to. Three paragraphs of your character's innermost thoughts while they stand still, say nothing to, or otherwise ignore the other character does not constitute a good tag.
Feel free to link us to existing threads or writing samples instead of pasting them here.
